About

Indonesiantara comes from Indonesia Nusantara, since this blog will tell a lot of story about Indonesia, a country with thousands islands. Nusantara was an acronym for Nusa Antara, Nusa means "islands". Antara means "between". Indonesia is called as Nusantara, means the islands between Asia and Australia.

Nusantara is a concept created by a king named Kertanegara. He was the king of Singasari, and he brought out the concept in 1275. The concept was about the untiy of kingdoms in South East Asia under Singasari Kingdom to defend the land from Mongolian attack in Yuan Dynasty.

Indonesia is the representative of the "Nusantara" concept, which should represent the glory of Singasari. Singasari was a mighty kingdom on the islands where Indonesia is now, Majapahit was also a feared kingdom on the islands where Indonesia is now. Netherlands, Portuguese, England, and Japan were interested to these islands, also the islands where Indonesia is now. Around 10% of Japanese petroleum supply in WW2 was from Indonesia.
